Projection Mapping & 3D Mapping

الإسقاط الضوئي والخرائط ثلاثية الأبعاد

Turning a building facade, a stage set or an irregular object into a projection surface. We survey the site, calculate the throw and brightness, stack and blend the projectors, and run the show from a media server built for it.

Projection mapping fails on arithmetic far more often than on creative. Too little brightness for the ambient light, the wrong lens for the throw distance, a projector position the venue will not allow, or a blend that never quite disappears. Every one of those is knowable before anyone spends money on content.

We survey first. Surface dimensions, available projector positions, throw distances, ambient light at showtime, power and signal runs. Only then do we specify the projectors and produce the mapping template your content team designs against.

Where it works

Building & facade mapping

Large-format projection onto architecture for launches, national celebrations and public activations — including the facade projection we delivered for the Esports World Cup.

Stage & scenic mapping

Projection onto set pieces, gauze, sculptural elements and non-flat surfaces as part of a show design.

3D object mapping

Product launches and exhibition pieces where projection is aligned precisely to a physical object so the surface appears to change.

Immersive rooms

Multi-surface projection across walls and floor for exhibitions, museums and branded environments.

Blended widescreen

Multiple projectors edge-blended into one seamless ultra-wide image for conference and keynote stages.

How we plan a mapping project

1 — Site survey

We measure the surface, identify viable projector positions, note obstructions and record ambient light levels at the actual time of day the show runs.

2 — Optical and brightness study

Throw distances, lens selection, projector count and stacking are calculated against the surface size and ambient conditions. You get real numbers, not a guess.

3 — Mapping template

Your content team receives an accurate template and delivery specification so the creative is built to the true geometry from the start.

4 — Alignment and blending

On site we align, warp and blend each projector, then run technical rehearsals until the seams are invisible.

5 — Show operation

Playback runs from PIXERA or Resolume with our operator on the desk, plus backup media and a redundancy plan.

Frequently asked

What is the difference between projection mapping and 3D mapping?

They describe the same technique at different levels of ambition. Projection mapping means aligning projected imagery precisely to a physical surface instead of a flat screen. "3D mapping" usually refers to content designed to exploit the depth of that surface — making a building appear to open, twist or collapse. The technical setup is the same; the difference lives in the content and the accuracy of the survey it was built from.

How many projectors will my building need?

It depends on the facade area, how far back the projectors can sit, and how much ambient light is present at showtime. A modest building on a dark site may need a few units; a large brightly-lit facade can need many, stacked for brightness and blended for coverage. We answer this with a survey and a brightness calculation, not a rule of thumb.

Do you create the content?

We deliver the technical side — survey, projectors, media servers, alignment, blending and show operation — and we provide the mapping template and specifications your creative studio designs against. We work alongside content teams regularly and can recommend studios we have delivered shows with.

Can projection mapping work outdoors in Riyadh?

Yes, and it is one of the most common uses here. The constraint is ambient light, so shows are scheduled after dark and nearby architectural or street lighting is assessed during the survey — sometimes we ask the venue to dim specific fixtures. Dust and heat are handled with appropriate protection and airflow for the projector positions.
